Products & capabilities

What robots does Futural Robotics offer for nursing homes?

Three families of service robots for elderly care: autonomous delivery robots (meals, medication, linens, supplies), disinfection robots (U1 UV-C germicidal disinfection), and companion / reception robots (engagement, reminders, visitor guidance). Use them individually or together as a full solution.

Can one robot do multiple tasks, or is each robot specialised?

Each robot is specialised for reliability and safety. Delivery, disinfection and companion functions need different hardware, so we supply purpose-built robots that work together and are managed from one dashboard — rather than a compromised all-in-one machine.

What can the delivery robot carry?

Meals and drinks, medication (secure, access-controlled, with an audit trail), clean and soiled linens, consumables, and small internal items. Compartments are lockable and hygienic. See the delivery robot page.

What does the companion robot do for residents?

Conversation and engagement, medication and activity reminders, video calls with family, and visitor reception with wayfinding — in multiple languages. It assists carers, it does not replace human care. See the companion robot page.

Why do you use UV-C for disinfection, and is it safe?

Our U1 disinfection robot uses UV-C germicidal light — fast, chemical-free and residue-free. Cycles run in unoccupied rooms with interlocks that stop the cycle if a person is detected, so it is safe for residents and staff. Every cycle is logged for compliance.

Are the robots suitable for small care homes, not just large facilities?

Yes. Single-floor and smaller homes can start with one robot and scale later. A free site assessment matches the configuration to your size, layout and priority tasks.

Technology & operation

How do the robots navigate safely around residents?

They use laser (LiDAR) and vision sensors to map your floors and detect people and obstacles in 360°. They travel at walking pace, slow near people, and stop smoothly if someone steps into their path.

Do the robots work on multiple floors and use elevators?

Yes. Through a secure wireless link they call the lift, select a floor and trigger automatic doors, serving multi-storey buildings without staff help.

What happens if a corridor is blocked or someone stands in the way?

The robot re-plans its route in real time to go around obstacles. If the path is fully blocked it waits safely and politely asks to pass, then continues once clear.

How long does the battery last, and how does it recharge?

Robots run through typical shifts and return to a charging dock automatically when needed, so they stay available around the clock. Exact runtime depends on model and workload and is confirmed in your proposal.

Do staff need technical skills to operate them?

No. Staff use a simple touchscreen or dispatch jobs from a nurse station. We train your team at installation, and most carers are comfortable within a day.

What languages does the companion robot speak?

It supports multiple languages for voice interaction, which is useful in diverse care settings. Tell us the languages you need and we will confirm support for your configuration.

Deployment & integration

How long does installation take?

After the site assessment and floor mapping, most facilities go live within days. We handle mapping, elevator/door integration where needed, and staff training.

Do you need to modify our building?

Usually very little. The robots adapt to existing corridors and lifts. Some sites add elevator or door integration modules, which we install — major construction is not required.

Can the robots integrate with our existing systems?

Yes. They integrate with elevators, automatic doors and, depending on your setup, nurse-call or scheduling systems. We review integration needs during the assessment.

How are staff trained?

We provide hands-on training during installation, plus simple reference materials. Because operation is designed to be intuitive, teams get up to speed quickly, and remote support is always available.

How many robots does a facility typically need?

It depends on beds, floors, corridor distances and daily volume. Many facilities start with one or two and scale up. We recommend a right-sized configuration in your proposal.

Pricing & ROI

How much do nursing home robots cost?

Pricing is scenario-based and quoted individually by email, because it depends on robot type, quantity, integration and support. Send your facility details via the form or WhatsApp (+86 147 5172 9689) and we'll provide tailored pricing plus an ROI estimate.

Do you offer leasing or rental (Robotics-as-a-Service)?

Flexible commercial models can be discussed, including options that spread cost over time. Tell us your preference and we'll include suitable options in your quote.

What is the typical return on investment or payback period?

Many facilities reach payback within 12 to 24 months through reduced agency/overtime hours, fewer missed deliveries and better staff retention. See our ROI model or ask for a tailored estimate.

Are there ongoing costs?

Typical ongoing items are remote support, software updates and routine maintenance — all set out clearly in your proposal, so there are no surprises.

Why don't you publish prices on the website?

Every facility is different, so one list price would be misleading. We quote each site individually by email based on your layout, robot mix and support needs, giving you an accurate, tailored figure.

Safety & compliance

Are your robots certified?

Yes. Our robots carry CE certification, and our operations are ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental) certified, backed by 20+ patents and 30 years of manufacturing and export experience. More on about us.

Are they safe around frail or wheelchair-using residents?

Yes. They operate at low speed with 360° sensing, gentle predictable movement, clear audible cues and emergency-stop buttons. Residents typically accept them quickly as a normal part of daily life.

How do you handle data privacy and resident information?

The robots minimise and protect personal data, with secure access controls and configurable privacy settings. We can align deployment with your data-protection obligations, including GDPR where applicable.

What safety features do the robots have?

Speed limiting, 360° obstacle detection, smooth automatic stopping, emergency-stop buttons, secure lockable compartments, and fail-safe behaviour if a fault occurs.

Are the disinfection robots safe for people?

Yes, when used as directed. UV-C cycles run in unoccupied rooms with interlocks that stop the cycle if a person is detected; no chemicals are used, so there is nothing to store or dose. All cycles are logged for compliance.

Support & maintenance

What after-sales support do you provide?

24/7 remote monitoring, responsive technical support, over-the-air software updates and maintenance. Support details are confirmed in your agreement.

What if a robot breaks down?

Most issues are diagnosed and resolved remotely, often before they affect operations. For hardware needs, we arrange service or replacement parts quickly to minimise downtime.

Do you provide software updates?

Yes. Robots receive over-the-air updates that add features and improvements over time, so your investment keeps getting better.

What warranty do you offer?

Our robots come with a manufacturer warranty; the exact term and coverage are set out in your quote, and extended support options are available.

Which countries do you serve and ship to?

We supply care operators and distributors worldwide, backed by 30 years of export experience. Contact us with your location and we'll confirm delivery and support arrangements.

Distributors & partners

Do you work with distributors and dealers?

Yes. We actively partner with regional distributors and equipment dealers serving senior-care and healthcare markets, offering distributor pricing, training, marketing support and protected territories. See how to become a distributor.

What support do distribution partners get?

Distributor pricing, product and sales training, marketing materials, technical and after-sales backup, and reliable supply — everything needed to win and support end customers.

Do you offer protected territories?

Yes. Qualified partners can be granted protected territories so they can invest in a region with confidence. Terms are agreed case by case.

What is the ideal distributor profile?

Partners already selling to nursing homes, hospitals or senior-care operators — or with strong local healthcare-equipment networks. Robotics experience is welcome but not essential; we provide training.

How do I apply to become a distributor?

Use the distributor form or message us on WhatsApp at +86 147 5172 9689. Tell us your market and network, and our partnership team will follow up quickly.
